a beautiful piece of self-made sacred art is a creative and enlivening way to bring to life a cherished or tender dream in images and words. it has the powerful, often surprising, effect of connecting you to unforeseen possibilities for your life. it can also provide a clear reminder to follow your heart in ways that you may not have considered before. my regular practice of creating vision declarations and boards has supported me in ways i could not have imagined. they’ve made my visions much more real by having tangible reflections to remind me of what i stand for and am working toward when i'm feeling discouraged, overwhelmed or disconnected. so, whether you’re creating a vision for your life as a whole or a specific area of life, a representation of a project you want to actualize, or a portrayal of something deep inside ready to be revealed, your sacred art piece will be an inspiring reflection of who you are in this moment.
in both the in-person and virtual workshops, you will…
enjoy sacred space. in a beautiful, inspiring space, you’ll be guided in a deeply personal journey to call on your creative wisdom and reveal your unique vision.
write your vision declaration. you’ll be supported in an independent writing exercise to hone and clarify an inspiring statement of what you’re calling in.
be supported. you’ll have in-person or WhatsApp chat access to me for any questions or concerns between the1st and 2nd sessions.
share and celebrate. in-person and virtual workshop participants will gather together March 24th over Zoom to share and celebrate your vision pieces.
whether you’re doing either of the workshops or my upcoming self-guided course, be sure to give yourself regular, focused time for this. it's a creative process, so it may take you a week (or more) to complete. the most important thing to remember is to let yourself be led from your heart rather than your head. trust your first impulses and hunches, allowing intuition to be your guide. and remember to have fun!
in order to get the most out of your experience, please prepare in the following ways:
set aside time and space. you’ll have at least one week between the first and second sessions. so, after the initial sessions of either the in-person or virtual workshops, i urge you to give yourself time and as much of your own attention as possible for this deeply personal experience. consider that you may even want to set aside a place in your home where you can leave your materials out while you’re working on them, and even create an altar specifically for this project.
decide what form your art piece will take. whether you prefer to make a Living IntoVision collage (posterboard is provided for the in-person workshop), book (using a blank journal or repurposing an existing book or ??) or other visioning art piece (such as a vegetable box in which you can grow a mini garden!), you’ll want to have everything you need beforehand. you’ll receive more detailed information and suggestions in my Living IntoVision™ Guidesheet once you sign up.
gather your materials. magazines are a great start, but you may also want to use items like old calendars and greeting cards and/or natural objects, paint or other materials. there is a suggested materials list included in the Living IntoVision™ Guidesheet.
please note: in honor of the range of financial resources available to many of us, the Living intoVision workshops are offered on a suggested “Pay What You Can” basis of $25-$150 per seat. this allows those with less access to resources to be supported by those with greater access. (to learn more about my commitment to radical trust, click this link.) you will be asked to reserve your spot with a deposit of $15, $25 or $50; it’s up to you. i trust you to choose the option which honors both of us. if you are able, you will have an opportunity to give more at the end of the workshop to augment your deposit. thank you for your honesty and respect for this offering.
